Since I'm rarely eating anything when I scan these strips these days, I decided to make things a bit more exciting with the currently eating/drinking listings. Namely by abolishing the eating part and replacing it with "currently listening to". I know, right! The temptation would be to choose something from my Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist that is really choice and thus make it a bit too keen. I never did this with the drinking and eating aspects by the way. So, I've devised a plan whereby I'll "shuffle" my "itunes" and land on the song that I wouldn't mind listening to at this exact point and then I'll post a youtube link to it below. And if there isn't a youtube video then I'll skip it til there is one *

The beagle-eyed among you may note that there's a bit of a scanner scatter glass splatter patois to this week's Flesh and Bone. Depending on which side of the fence you sit, this is either a brilliant warts and all expose of the grit that goes on behind the scenes OR it's lazebot-5000 on my behalf. Usually rub out that ink drift on Photieshop isn't it. Couldn't muster the gustard to do it tonight because I just finished an all-evening blog extravaganza over on the Good Grief! blog plusssss I only just got into Tim and Eric. So, you know. Swings and rollerblades.

As something of an appeasement for sins past, here's some snaps of an exhibition I was involved with in the Soup Kitchen basement a lil while back entitled "Joyride Playground". I was sharing a wall with my main magpie, Dylan Hughes. I did a Flesh & Bone real-time large-format disaster-piece. See the photos. That dashing Scarlett Pimpernel character pictured is Dylan so don't get a lob on thinking your author is a lush haired lothario, strictly curly fries with raisins for eyes here party-poupons!

Baby Weave, Hairy Hair and FAN ART!

F & B's regular irregular Monday/Thursday updates fell by the wayside this past couple of weeks but with good honest reason I am telling you. I had other stuff to do, namely doing an anoose load of drawings for an exciting exhibition called "The People You're Not" which is occurring for a whole month from this Saturday at the Cornerhouse, Manchester. It involves a man called Bren O'Callaghan, George Cruikshank, Harry Hill and drunk slebs. What's not to love? Here's the trailer (trailer!)...

Whiles you're at it stick these in your pipe, a couple of my drawings for the 3-D toy theatre that's going to be in the exhibition (alongside 5 toy theatres by other artists BTW!), Gazza and the Wineglass. Others in my scene include Keith Floyd, Gram Parsons and Trinny off Trinny and Susannah (slag). You gotsta love that line-up!

Check this shark fillet, F & B got it's first "FAN ART" submissions! Does it count as fan art (comics term people, I read it on the internet) if you asked the person in question to do it for you? Does it count if you asked them to do it while they were sat next to you doing work experience? Sure it counts! The boy genius responsible is Paul Gallagher AKA twitter legend Spooky PG Tips AKA the brains behind Spooky on the Moon AKA the record boss of Kill Yr Records. Pretty sweet inner-head riffs on the current Bone hair pill "storyline". I'm a bit envious of his multi-viewpoints and general vantage flair moves, doesn't he know that F & B is a 2-D no thrills visual predictathon?? What? Who said that! Fair play to you though Paul seriously, lovin' your work...

Especially like the third panel of the second strip, haha! Flesh packing 4 eyebrows, shiiiiine! Well, I'm off now. The official third part to the Flesh & Bone hair pill drama is coming soon, tomorrow maybe? LOL. Fun fact, I'm old enough to be Paul's Dad! If I was one of those cool as 13yr old Dads that is, instead of one of those sad as 28yr old non-Dads. My back hurts?

Snow Joke 2

The drought is over. Flesh & Bone is back, 2011 style!!

This strip was made in 2010 (snoring!) and completed today, when I started it it was snowing. Now it's not snowing but part of me still feels it's relevant. It's snowing somewhere, right?

The title is Snow Joke 2 because I think I already called a previous F&B Snow Joke. I could be wrong.
